THIS is my ultimate dream sweet snack mix. It is definitely my weakness and sweet snack of choice during the holidays.

Since Trader Joe’s just released their tin of Jingle Jangle chocolate snack mix, I knew that I had to make it at home to share with friends and family. It is so easy!

Why you will love this Chocolate Snack Mix:

  • If you love chocolate, you will LOVE this chocolate-dipped snack mix. It is full of chocolate-covered pretzels, chocolate-covered caramel corn, chocolate-covered Oreos, mini peanut butter cups, and holiday M & M’s.
  • It is the perfect balance of salty and sweet. It pairs salty, crunchy pretzels with decadent chocolate and salted caramel corn with dark chocolate. The mini chocolate peanut butter cups bring it all together.
  • What is in Jingle Jangle Holiday Mix?

This chocolate snack mix is a mix of chocolate dipped cookies, pretzels, caramel corn, and more. Here’s what is in this popular Christmas mix:

    • Milk Chocolate Pretzels (drizzled with white chocolate)
    • Dark Chocolate Pretzels (drizzled with white chocolate)
    • Mini Peanut Butter Cups
    • Chocolate Covered Caramel Corn
    • Chocolate M & M’s
    • Dark Chocolate Covered Oreos or Peppermint Jo Jo’s

How to make Christmas Chocolate Snack Mix:

It is so easy to make this Jingle Jangle Mix!

    • Place the pretzels, caramel corn, and Oreos in different bowls.
    • Melt the chocolate until smooth and silky. You can use milk, semi-sweet, or dark chocolate. If you are using chocolate chips or chocolate bars, you can add 1 teaspoon of oil to make it shiny.
    • Toss the chocolate with the pretzels, caramel corn, and Oreos. Place on parchment paper to set up.
    • Melt white chocolate in a bowl. Take a spoon and lightly drizzle over the pretzels and caramel corn.
    • Once the chocolate has set up, toss all the ingredients in a bowl and add mini peanut butter cups and holiday M & M’s.
    • Store in an airtight container at room temperature to keep fresh.

    Chocolate Melting Tips:

  • I suggest using Ghirardelli melting wafers since they melt so easily.
  • If you use chocolate bars or chocolate chips, I suggest reducing the microwave power to 50% and cooking in 30-second increments to make sure you don’t overcook the chocolate.
  • Shorcuts:

If you want to make it even easier to make this chocolate Christmas mix, here are some tips:

    • Buy pre-dipped chocolate covered pretzels. There are so many brands — Flipz, Hershey’s, Snyder’s, etc. I would suggest buying several bags to make this mix.
    • Buy pre-dipped chocolate covered caramel corn. I found the Zebra mix at Costco, which isn’t completely covered in chocolate but it is a great price and makes this so easy.

    What chocolate should I use?

The easiest chocolate to use when dipping anything into melted chocolate is the Ghiradelli Melting Wafers. Since they are made specifically for melting, the chocolate turns out silky smooth.

You can also use chocolate bars or chocolate chips. I suggest adding 1 teaspoon of oil and cooking at 50% power in the microwave to ensure it doesn’t burn.

    Substitutions and Variations:

Choose your favorite type of chocolate to use in this chocolate snack mix.

The Trader Joe’s Jingle Jangle Mix mainly uses dark chocolate but feel free to use milk chocolate or semi-sweet chocolate. I like to mix milk chocolate and dark chocolate wafers to make a slightly sweeter mix.

You can use your favorite type of cookies. Trader Joe’s carries a peppermint chocolate sandwich cookie but you can use classic Oreos or any type of holiday cookie.

    Storage:

Here are some tips on how to store the Jingle Jangle Holiday Mix.

This holiday mix can be kept in an airtight container or bag at room temperature for several weeks. I found these cute Christmas tins at Target and they are absolutely perfect for sharing this Christmas treat mix.

Tip: I like to use tissue paper to put on the bottom of the tin so you don’t have to fill it as much.

    Christmas Treats:

Here are some festive holiday treats to give away to friends, family, coworkers, or to snack on yourself all season long.
